You woke up the next morning, the sun shining brightly through the window of your room. As you rose up into a sitting position you stretched out your arms a swung your feet to the side of the bed.  'It seems like a nice day. I wonder how I'm going to spend it though.' You thought.

Just then you heard a knocking on your door. "_______, time to wake up! I made you breakfast!" Ivan's cheerful voice said behind the door.

"Oh, hold on I have to change real qui-," you stopped, remembering you didn't have any other clothes than the ones you were wearing. You brought your palm to your face. "Hah, stupid me. I don't have any other clothes."

There was silence behind the door. You guessed that Ivan was probably also confused by what you said. You stood up and quickly fixed the sheets on your bed, then walked over to the door and opened it for Ivan.

"Sorry about that. Seems I forgot that I ran away," You immediately regretted saying that, remembering you didn't want Ivan to know about what happened.

He saw that you didn't want to talk about it and decided not to ask you about it just yet. "You had a good sleep, da?"

"O-oh, yeah. But my dream wasn't so great," you sighed. "So what's for breakfast?"

Ivan started walking to the kitchen and motioned for you to follow him. "Come with me to the kitchen. Getting lost doesn't seem like much fun now does it?"

You couldn't help but to notice he didn't answer your question. "No, that wouldn't be fun. Though a tour would be nice. So about breakfast…" your voice faded as you observed the decorations that were placed along the walls. You saw some pictures and guessed they were relatives of Ivan's. One picture was of a girl with the same color hair as Ivan, but it was cut short unlike the picture of the other girl who seemed a bit younger. The other picture was of a girl with longer hair and a serious facial expression. You assumed that they were his sisters.

"_______ are you coming?" you heard Ivan ask.

You hadn't realized that you stopped walking. "Oh of course. I was just a little distracted." You caught up to where Ivan was standing before he grabbed your wrist and pulled you the rest of the way to the kitchen. "H-hey!"

"Ah, here we are. Have a seat and I'll bring you your breakfast, da?" he walked over to a stove and started scooping some food onto a dish while you made your way to sit at the end of the table.

"Let me try asking again. What's for breakfast?" you placed your arms on the table and waited patiently for him to bring by the food. You were really hungry and couldn't wait to eat, but you didn't want to show him how hungry you were.

"I hope you like Russian food. I made a dish called blini. It's a typical breakfast here in Russia, and it's pretty much the same as American pancakes," Ivan poured some orange juice into a glass and grabbed your plate before walking over to the table and placing them in front of you.

"Oh, sounds great! Aren't you going to eat?" you picked up a fork and started cutting into the pancakes.

"I already ate breakfast, and I have to go to a meeting for a couple hours. Will you be okay here by yourself while I'm gone?" he stood by the door with his back towards you, but kept his head turned in your direction.

"I can handle myself," you answered with your mouth half full of food. The pancakes were delicious and you swallowed before saying anything else. "These are now on my favorites list." You pointed at the pancakes with your fork. "Would you mind if I took a look around your house while you're away?"

"No, but if the door is locked please don't try to go in," he looked all serious and he started walking away. "I'll be back by noon!"

You continued to eat the blini as you heard the front door come to a close. 'How could I get into a room that's locked? I mean I can pick locks…but I don't have anything to use as a tool.' You thought while slurping some orange juice from the glass. In a couple minutes your plate was empty and you were out of orange juice. 'Great, now where do I put this?'

You got up from your seat and chose that it would be best to wash the dishes rather than leaving them for Ivan. You didn't want to be a burden to him. "Now," you spoke to yourself, "where should I go first?"

You began looking around wherever your feet took you, and you found tons of locked doors. Out of the open doors all you could find were books, bedrooms, empty rooms, and Ivan's room. They were all so big that it took you quite a while just to get around them entirely. In one room you found sunflowers, which looked very nice and fitting to Ivan's personality, or at least the part of him you knew about. After all, you two only knew each other for a couple of hours.

A couple minutes later you got bored and thought you went around the whole house, and noticed that you had no clue how to find your own room. "Well this is just fantastic!" you groaned. "I guess he was right about me getting lost in his house after all."

You wondered around aimlessly hoping that just out of luck you would find your own room when you came across an interesting looking book. It was covered in dust so you blew it all off and realized there was no title. As you opened to the first page you saw that it said: Russia's History. 'Hmm I've always enjoyed a little history.' You began reading the book after you took a seat in the window just down the hall.

*Hours later*

You hadn't known how long you were reading, but you finally finished the book and closed it shut. You continued to hold it in your hands and stared at it for a while before hearing a door shut downstairs.

"_______!"  You heard Ivan call. "I'm back! I hope you didn't get lost."

'He's back already?' You asked yourself. 'Wait I've been reading that long?' You stood up, the floor creaking a bit as you took a few steps forward.

"Ah, you're upstairs, da?" you listened as footsteps came up the stairs and revealed the man you knew as Ivan.

"Ivan!" You screamed, dropping the book and running over to Ivan. You gave him a hug  and buried your face into his coat, tears forming in your eyes. "How come you didn't tell me?!"

If you think about it...wouldn't that book technically be Russia"s autobiography?
